Summary:

 

 

It's 1925. Americans Amelia and Clark are engaged, and living in Greece. One day Clark goes to New York, without giving a clear reason why. Work reasons, he claimed. And now, no one has heard from him. No letters or telegrams. Something is wrong. Amelia, his fiancée, is now determined to find him. With the help of Clark's ex-pat friend, Walter, Amelia set off on a month-long ship ride to New York. During the course of the trip, she gets embroiled in a deeper fix than she realized, one that involves family secrets and murder. All while discovering a new side to Walter who for his own reasons is determined to find Clark. Will Clark be found?
